Join the Team

We are looking to fill several part time positions for the 2021 season.


**MUST be willing to work evenings and weekends!**

Yes this is a deer swimming through the marsh.  No it has nothing to do with the ad except to say you will have the opportunity to see super cool things like this!!


  1. Office Assistant
    • Lead and conduct two hour tours on the waterways surrounding Folly Beach
    • Answering and talking on phones
    • Booking tours
    • Holding office on Folly Beach open
    • Input bookings into booking software
    • Assisting with physical marketing and internet marketing
    • Posting pictures to social media
    • Engaging audience with promotions
    • Managing inventory
  2. Kayak Guide
    • Lead and conduct two hour tours on the waterways surrounding Folly Beach
    • Teach basics to beginners, preform self-rescues and rescue others
    • CPR/First Aid/Lifeguard certified
    • Able to lift at least 50 pounds (kayaks aren’t the lightest!) and able to or willing to learn to pull a trailer behind a truck
  3. Boat Captain
    • USCG Master’s License required
    • Experience navigating the waterways around Charleston
  4. Crew
    • Assisting Captain with all duties on catamaran sailing vessel like handling lines, cleaning boats, serving food, carrying supplies, setting up mobile supplies
    • Assisting children with school programs on skiffs


All potential candidates must have
Strong people and communication skills
A genuine love for our waterways, ecosystems and wildlife
Ability to be outside for multiple hours at a time


Ideally we would like to find someone who can fill more than one position. For example, you can work in the office in the morning and kayak or be the mate on the boat in the afternoon. Preference will be given to those with prior water and hospitality experience, but we are willing to train the right person.


Pay depends on position and experience.
