Captain Weatherly

Boat Captain/ Kayak Guide

Allow us to introduce shop manager, master naturalist, marine scientist, and Captain Weatherly Meadors. A Jane of all trades with a sweet sense of humor and quick wit, she will undoubtedly offer one of the most inimitable tours in the Charleston area.

A Charleston native, Madam Meadors is well-versed in the history of the civil and physical landscape, matched with a master’s degree in Marine Biology from the College of Charleston, and you’re sure to have all queries explained in a way your brain cannot help but absorb and savor. She has been in the ecotour business since 2010 and worked with numerous local organizations. When Weatherly isn’t on the water, she’ll be picking guitar strings, taking pictures, stalking birds, traipsing down seldom wandered roads and waterways, and baking up a storm with her two children.

Tours she runs: All of them, boat and kayak!  Although I’m quite partial to guided beach walks, school/children’s programs, and anything involving food.

Captain Olivia

Boat Captain/Operations Manager

Meet Captain Olivia, self-described nature nerd and sunshine lover. She’s been in the industry since 2014, after graduating from the College of Charleston with a BS in Biology. Having worked with a variety of organizations from the SC Aquarium, to SC State Parks, to multi-day wilderness guiding, Olivia brings a well-rounded perspective on recreation and conservation in the Lowcountry.

Olivia loves seeing faces light up when visitors realize what locals already know – that there is so much more to Charleston than what you can drive to – and guests can expect engaging, educational commentary tailored to their interests and a guide that will go above and beyond to help facilitate that connection for your unique group.

The only thing Olivia loves more than being outside is food, so bonus points if you bring her a snack!

Captain Chris

Boat Captain
Meet Capt. Chris! After earning his master’s in marine ecosystems from the University of Miami, Chris went on to earn his USCG Captain’s License and served as a captain aboard the R/V Garvin, a research vessel supporting shark science and marine science initiatives in South Florida. His background in shark research gives him a deep appreciation for the marine life that calls the Lowcountry home, and he brings that passion to every tour he leads.
Whether he’s pointing out the subtle movements of a bonnethead shark in the shallows or explaining the role of apex predators in the salt marsh food web, Chris makes science approachable and fun for guests of all ages.
Since relocating to Charleston, Chris has fallen in love with the area’s tidal creeks, barrier islands, and biodiversity. Off the water, you’ll likely find him combing the beach for shark teeth, sipping strong coffee, or loudly rooting for the James Madison Dukes and Miami Hurricanes during football season. Friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to talk sharks or sports, Chris adds a unique flavor to every adventure.
