Allow us to introduce shop manager, master naturalist, marine scientist, and Captain Weatherly Meadors. A Jane of all trades with a sweet sense of humor and quick wit, she will undoubtedly offer one of the most inimitable tours in the Charleston area.
A Charleston native, Madam Meadors is well-versed in the history of the civil and physical landscape, matched with a master’s degree in Marine Biology from the College of Charleston, and you’re sure to have all queries explained in a way your brain cannot help but absorb and savor. When Weatherly isn’t on the water, she’ll be picking guitar strings, taking pictures, stalking birds, and traipsing down seldom wandered roads.
Whether it’s a 2-hr ecotour, bachelorette party, or lowcountry boil dinner Capt. Steve has it covered. Steve left the Coast Guard several years ago and started running boat tours around Folly Beach. He always has a smile on his face and is ready to show you everything our wonderful backyard has to offer!
Steve loves being on the water so much you’ll usually find him running trips on the awesome vintage yacht the Huckfin when he’s not working with us!
A tour with Capt. Landon will leave you feeling like you’ve spent the last few hours on the water with a good friend – who just so happens to spin a story of wildlife and history like he’s been doing it his whole life! Also recently out of service with the Coast Guard, he now spends most of his time studying lawn and can help you with all of your legal needs (if it’s maritime law at least!).
In his free time you can find him on the Huckfin with Capt. Steve, picking a fine bluecrab, riding his motorcycle, and singing karaoke with the best of them!
Captain Mike is as abundantly diverse in his expertise as the Lowcountry ecosystem he calls home. He’ll linger over a sunset and can play Pictionary in the clouds like no one else.
When not on a boat, you may find him gliding down waves on his paddle board as gracefully as the blue crab swims through the water or winning SUP races wearing his favorite grass skirt. Capt. Mike is also on the FB Beach Patrol; if you see him cruising the beach, wave!
